More and more features

Todays blog includes a few more features used in the ultimate guitar pro app. In yesterday’s blog we discussed how ultimate guitar allows you to transpose the itch of the song. Also, we discussed one of the cool features of auto scroll. To learn more about these follow this link to yesterday’s blog. Let us begin with today’s blog.

Official chords and tabs

Ultimate guitar added this feature which is highly aimed and players who are determined to learn the song note by note. The ultimate guitar team create these tabs themselves. I have used this personally and have found it very accurate.

Virtual Fretboard

Along the bottom of the tabs, you get to see a virtual fretboard which will show you where to put your fingers. For some people who are only learning to read tablature this is a very fun way to learn the song.

Backing tracks

A very neat feature is the backing tracks. Playing along with this will help you learn the rune but also help you play along with other players. A brilliant part of this feature is being able to cut out parts of the backing track so you can add some lead guitar if needed.

Looping

Pro mode offers the ability to loop back certain sections. For me personally this is a great feature. You don’t have to manually go back every time to the spot you want. It will play as far as the track is meant to and loop back to where you want it too. Very neat features which aren’t available in the normal free version of the ultimate guitar app.

Tune into the next blog, where I will discuss some alternatives to Ultimate guitar. These apps include “Fender Play” and the very popular “Yousician”.

See you soon.
